Policies & privacy.
The honest terms behind a handmade shop. Checkout, payment, and order protection are handled by Etsy; the policies below cover how I work.
Pricing
Prices shown are illustrative for this template and are set on the Etsy shop, where checkout, payment, and order tracking take place. Custom and commission quotes are provided individually after a request.
Handmade variation
Every piece is thrown and glazed by hand. Slight variations in dimensions, glaze break, color, and speckling are inherent to handmade stoneware and are not defects. Measurements and capacities are approximate.
Custom orders & commissions
Custom and commissioned work requires a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve a place in the studio queue, with the balance due before shipping. Custom pieces are made to order and are non-returnable. Quoted lead times are estimates and may shift with kiln schedules; you will be kept informed.
Shipping & damage
Items ship from Asheville, North Carolina. Pottery is packed to protect it in transit. Damage claims must be submitted with a photo within 7 days of delivery. International buyers are responsible for any customs duties.
Returns
Ready-made pieces may be returned within 14 days of delivery in original, unused condition; the buyer covers return shipping. Custom and commissioned pieces are made to order and are non-returnable. Anything that arrives damaged is replaced or refunded at no cost — just send a photo within 7 days.
Privacy
This is a template site with no live data collection. The custom-order form does not transmit data anywhere in this demo. On a live shop, information you submit would be used only to respond to your request and fulfill your order, never sold. Purchases made on Etsy are governed by Etsy’s own privacy policy.
Designs & trademarks
All designs, glazes, photography, and shop content are the original work of the studio and may not be reproduced without permission. Marl & Ash is an independent maker and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Etsy, Inc.; “Etsy” is a trademark of Etsy, Inc., used here only to indicate where pieces are sold.
