The studio’s most involved pot — a body, a lid that seats true, a spout that does not drip, and a row of strainer holes pierced by hand. Finished with a cane handle through two thrown loops. Made one at a time.
Each teapot is thrown and fitted individually — expect honest, handmade variation. Checkout, payment & tracking happen on Etsy.
Almost everything is made to order in small batches, so most pieces ship within 2–4 weeks; larger or more involved pieces (teapots, platters, custom work) take 4–6 weeks or more. Each listing shows its own lead time, and you’ll get a note when your kiln is loaded and again when it ships.
Yes — weddings and registries, café and restaurant runs, gifts, and pieces in a custom glaze are some of my favorite work. Start with the custom-order form; I’ll reply within a couple of business days with feasibility, a quote, and a timeline. A 50% deposit reserves your slot in the studio queue.
Most pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe (noted on the listing), but hand-washing keeps glazes brightest and protects handles and any cane fittings. Avoid sudden temperature shocks — don’t take a pot from the freezer to the oven. See the Materials & Care page for the full guide.
